Hi! I go by ButterBee just about everywhere on the internet. My hobbies include painting, writing, reading, listening to music, and video games. More information on all that can be found below, if you're curious.
Mostly this site is for compiling my creative endeavours. I have plans for other things I want to do here, like posting my paintings and doing music reviews, but I haven't gotten around to that.
The home page shows my recent activities. At the minute, that's just recent writings and music I've listened to for the first time. I do my best to keep the music section up-to-date but I listen to so many albums that I tend to forget about putting them there.

Painting
I paint with acrylics. I don't currently have any examples of my work on here, but I will (probably) start posting them here.
My favorite artists include Magritte, Dali, Monet, Max Beckmann, Colin Mullin (aka Revscarecrow), and Andy Warhol. This is not an exhaustive list but they are the first to come to mind.
Writing
I write mostly short fiction. Like, really short fiction. I like getting a complete story out in just a couple of pages or even a few paragraphs. I'm working up to longer pieces such as a proper short story or novel. I'm not quite there yet, but I will be! I also write poetry on occasion.
The stuff I post here are just the things I'm particularly proud of. It's really a small fraction of the stuff I do write.

Reading
I read a lot. I lean towards sci-fi and "weird fiction," however you want to define that. I occasionally dabble in fantasy and political dramas, as well as some non-fiction on topics I'm interested in like zoology, astronomy, and history.
My favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Christopher Paolini, Jorge Luis Borges, and Neil Gaiman. This is not an exhaustive list but they are the first to come to mind.
Music
Music is one of my favorite things in life. I love discovering new albums and artists. I enjoy digging into the backstory of music, how and when it was recorded, what inspired it, what the lyrics meant to the songwriter. It's all fascinating to me.
My favorite musicians include Beck, They Might Be Giants, Talking Heads, Cake, Beastie Boys, Joan As Police Woman, Gorillaz, and Blur. I keep saying it, but this is not an exhaustive list. Especially when it comes to music. If I listed every artist that appeared in my mega playlist, this page would be massive.

Video Games
I enjoy a pretty wide variety of games but lately I've been leaning towards shooters. I also enjoy strategy games, visual novels, and more chill experiences. My two "main" games are Warframe and Europa Universalis 4. Lately I've also been enjoying Katamari Damacy Reroll, Roboquest, and Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies.
